LODGE AVAILABILITY 2008
Glencanisp Lodge is now available to book through until the end of the season, 2008. With comfortable sleeping accommodation for at least 20 people, this is the perfect venue for a great Scottish Highlands get-together.
Relax in the splendour of this beautiful fourteen bedroom Victorian hunting lodge nestled in the breathtaking scenery of Assynt, with warm log fires, plenty of space, beautiful walks on the doorstep, peace and fresh air, deep baths with plenty of hot water…
Glencanisp Lodge is the perfect venue for a restful get-together, with the grand and stately atmosphere of the Victorian building all to yourselves, and the stunning tranquillity and beauty of the virtually empty 44,400 acre Assynt Foundation estate all around you.
Perfect for a strenuous walking holiday, with the drying room, roaring aga and open fires of the lodge waiting for you on your return from the hills and mountains. Or perhaps you just want to potter around the quiet lawns of the lodge, staring in awe at the views, far away from the distractions of the modern world.
Or if you want to take a boat around the wooded islands of the beautiful loch at the foot of the lodge's gardens, rowing boats or kayaks are available at Glencanisp to hire at very reasonable prices. Fishing permits can also be obtained, for £5 for a whole day's trout fishing.
If you are part of a walking, mountaineering, fishing, hunting, wildlife, ornithological or botanical club or group, then this is an ideal location for a get-together for your group.
Why not also hire the the services of the lodge's super-duper housekeeper and caterer Dorothea, and have wonderful evening meals waiting for you on your return from a long day in the hills! Breakfasts, lunches, buffets, and packed lunches for your daytrips away, are also all available from her, all at very reasonable prices.

The following short breaks are available:For all stays the lodge can be entered any time after 4.30 pm first day and must be vacated between 9.00 and 10.00 am on the last day, in order to allow our housekeeper to complete the changeover.
