Project Officer’s Report Oct 08Redevelopment Project
Most recent version of cash flow projection shows potential cash flow difficulties for AF if we spend all of the £1,520,793 without getting further loans. Two issues: cash flow during the works, and also thereafter into future years while repaying interest-free loans. Even if we successfully reduce project expenditure, acquiring a considerable further bank loan would greatly ease cash flow.
Other possible funders:
Various applications awaiting decisions.
Design Team
Tenders have been received and we should be in a position to appoint our design team very soon.
Log building Course and chainsaw courses
All chainsaw courses and assessments have been held.
(A fourth course/assessment is planned for late October, to be jointly paid for by AF and HC harbours, as we and they have employees to put through the course.)
The initial five-day stint of log building course has been moved back from early October to late October/early November.
Tools will need to be purchased for this, within the next couple of weeks. Davy is investigating best value sources for this. Total cost for these tools is getting on towards 5k. (Not covered by ERDF, if out of £16,800 training costs budget, as covered by GCA/HIE.) All agreed to go ahead with purchase of these items (presumably subject to a finalised total cost for these items being put to board and approved)?
Other stuff:
Agreed to publish staff reports along with minutes in future, in noticeboard, and emailed to AF members.
